The University of Zakho conducted a series of academic interviews with students applying for international exchange programs to the United States and Italy as part of its efforts to promote global academic engagement and strengthen international cooperation.

The interviews were held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, under the supervision of the President of the University of Zakho, Dr. Diyar A. Saeed, and in the presence of a high-level committee composed of:

• Dr. Jassim M. Abdo, Vice President for Scientific Affairs.
• Dr. Muhammed H. Khamo, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs.
• Dr. Ramadhan J. Mstafa, Vice President for Students Affairs.
• Nizar I. Ali, Director of International Relations Affairs.

During the interviews, the committee carefully evaluated the students’ academic qualifications, English language proficiency, and personal competencies. The assessment process aimed to identify the most qualified candidates to represent the University of Zakho at international academic institutions and partner universities abroad.

The initiative reflects the university’s ongoing commitment to enhancing international academic collaboration and providing students with opportunities for cultural and educational exchange.

Following the completion of the evaluation process and the review of final results, the names of the selected students will be officially announced through their respective academic departments.
